【摘要】:ThisRecommendation|InternationalStandarddefinestheOSINetworkServiceintermsof:a)theprimitiveactionsandeventsoftheService;b)theparametersassociatedwitheachprimitiveactionandevent,andtheformwhichtheytake;c)theinterrelationshipbetween,andthevalidsequencesof,theseactionsandevents.TheprincipalobjectivesofthisRecommendation|InternationalStandardare1)TospecifythecharacteristicsofaconceptualNetworkServiceandthus,supplementtheReferenceModelinguidingthedevelopmentofNetworkLayerprotocols.2)Toencourageconvergenceofthecapabilitiesofferedbyprovidersofsubnetworks.3)Toprovideabasisfortheindividualenhancementofexistingheterogeneoussubnetworkstoacommonsubnetwork-independentNetworkServicetoenablethemtobeconcatenatedforthepurposeofprovidingglobalcommunication.(SuchconcatenationmayinvolveoptionaladditionalfunctionswhicharenotdefinedinthisRecommendation|InternationalStandard.)AdefinitionofthequalityofserviceisanimportantelementofthisRecommendation|InternationalStandard.4)Toprovideabasisforthedevelopmentandimplementationofsubnetwork-independentTransportLayerprotocolsdecoupledfromthevariabilityofunderlyingpublicandprivatesubnetworksandtheirspecificinterfacerequirements.ThisRecommendation|InternationalStandarddoesnotspecifyindividualimplementationsorproductsnordoesitconstraintheimplementationofentitiesandinterfaceswithinasystem.ThereisnoconformanceofequipmenttothisRecommendation|InternationalStandard.Instead,conformanceisachievedthroughimplementationofconformingOSINetworkprotocolswhichfulfilltheNetworkServicedefinedinthisRecommendation|InternationalStandard.
