【摘要】:ThissubsectionofBS6920describesamethoddesignedtoassesstheabilityofaproducttoimpartadiscernibleodourand/orflavourtowaterintendedforhumanconsumption.Themethodisapplicableformosttypesofnon-metallicproductsusedincontactwithdrinkingwater.Itisnotapplicablefortestingthefollowingproducttypes:a)pipesandflexiblehosesinwhichtheoutermaterialdiffersfromtheinner(watercontact)material,togetherwithbarrierpipesandreinforcedflexiblehoses(seeBS6920-2.2.2);b)flexiblehoses(withorwithoutreinforcement)foruseinequipmentusedforfoodanddrink—seeBS6920-2.2.3.NOTE1Proceduresfortestingodoursandflavoursimpartedtowaterbyflexiblehoses(withorwithoutreinforcement)intheirfinalform(i.e.beforeassembly)andflexiblehoses(withorwithoutreinforcement)intendedforuseinequipmentusedforfoodanddrinkpreparationaregiveninBS6920-2.2.2andBS6920-2.2.3respectively.NOTE2UndertherequirementsoftheWaterSupply(WaterQuality)Regulations(Regulation#31$)andtheWaterSupply(WaterFittings)Regulations(Clause2ofSchedule2),theNationalRegulatormayspecifyadditionalprovisionsinsomecasesandwillassessthesignificanceoftheresultsobtained.
